Which of these two cars are more suitable for a family of 6?

Nissan Pathfinder or Ford Galaxy - Both 7 seats, which would recommend?

I would say the Nissan Path finder would be a lot more spacious and generally Nissan is a fine company. Its practical.

Apart from being a family of 6, what other factors could influence the purchase?
What age/height are the kids?
Do you take holidays by car?
Do you live in a house with a large private driveway and plenty of parking, or in a town with tight on-street parking?
How critical is fuel consumption? Or the driving experience?
Do you ever tow anything? If so, what, how often and how far?

There's a big difference between being the better of the two for a random family of 6, or for you and your family and your particular circumstances.

The Pathfinder is bigger on the inside an outside, but is based on a pick-up truck platform, so it isn't refined nor is it an enjoyable drive or particularly economical.
The current Galaxy is based on the Mondeo platform, so it a much more car-like drive (and like one of the best cars at that), and is smaller so easier to park, but also less spacious.
