Who has the best AWD system?

Added (1). Some people think all AWD systems are the same but, they are NOT. They are all engineered and designed differently.

Added (2). For on-road, off-road, snow, and everyday driving.

Well an AWD system is all the same no matter what brand it is. Just because it is a certain make, makes it better.

Doesn't really matter. Each will say theirs is the best.

The real answer lies in.

1). What you are using it for. Off road, paved roads, winter driving. 90% of people do not really need AWD.

2). What kind of tires you have. You wouldn't believe how many expensive Subarus and Audis I've seen in the ditch with all season tires after going too fast on black ice.

3). How much money you have.

Personally, I'd rather look at the whole vehicle than the system. Subaru's 'Symmetrical All Wheel Drive' seems like a good idea… Keeping the weight low down and having fewer drive shafts and gears… But it come with the price of having a boxer engine that eats through head gaskets and a tin can body.

SUBARU

Very few cars are built for off road use even if they have AWD. AWD in a car is a safety and performance feature, not an off road feature. Trucks are different.

Subaru has one of the best. I have an AWD Volvo that is a great car.

"On-road, off-road, snow, and everyday driving" are wholly different: the idea that one particular design will excel at all four is foolish in the extreme.

  • Which exhaust/exhaust system would work best for my car? I own a 1970 Ford Torino (Brougham) with a 351 Cleveland engine running on stock exhaust. I want to upgrade the exhaust (I'm thinking Flowmaster) but like, does the whole exhaust system need to be done, or like half? I need your help making my baby roar lol. Please give me your best suggestions and approximate cost.
  • When did automobile ownership become common? The Ford Model T was made in 1908. A century later almost every family in United States has a car. In roughly what decade did automobile ownership become common place, eg. More than half of families had one?
  • What's the difference in the level of the errors, here? Obama said there were 57 States and that Ford invented the automobile. Trump said? Airports instead of seaports or just ports. It looks like the same basic thing. Slip of the tongue. How can libs make such a big deal out of one without seeing that the other is almost identically the same kind of error? .
