Where to buy a good condition ford cougar?

In your dreams. In reality there's no such thing as a Ford Cougar.

It's Mercury, dummy. Not Ford, Mercury.

And you'll have to really broaden your definition of the word "good" when looking for a Cougar. Those weren't good cars when they were new, and a new Cougar hasn't been made in over 15 years now. If you can find one that's not already in a scrap yard, that might just have to be good enough.

FORD never made a Cougar. The Mercury Cougar was a pimped out Mustang.

I don't know… Ask an expert

FORD did buy out MERCURY, but not at the time the first Cougars came out.(1967) It was like the early Mustang and stayed that way while Mustang got monster motors. Cougar did not go that way… And stayed basically the same.
Try small town newspapers(private sales used cars) and you JUST HAVE TO GET LUCKY. You might and you might not. You are looking for a SPECIFIC CAR. Junk yards have many of them. It was not a BIG seller.

Start with google searching 1969 Cougar or whatever year. They've not been made in quite a few years, so cars.com and autonation.com are not likely to find them. It's VERY unlikely that a regular dealership will ever have one. Some of the high-line "classic" dealerships will sometimes have some. As others have said, Ford owned Mercury, and Mercury made Cougars. (I wish I had not sold my 69 with a 428 cid. I sold it for $1400 years ago and it would bring many thousands of dollars now)

  • Ford taurus, ford focus, ford escort or mercury cougar? Looking for a new used car, anyone know if any of these are bad cars? They're all in the 2000-2005 range I'm leaning towards the focus cause it gets good mileage and has good storage, also I've heard it does alright in snow. Anyone have any bad experiences with any of these cars or have any bad feedback?
  • What is the best way to sell a 2014 Ford Mustang that is in great condition? I have a loan that won't be paid off for awhile. Is there any possible way to sell the vehicle so that they take over the payments or pay in full? I do not want to trade or owe any amount on the vehicle once it is sold.
