What's the difference between a Ford 351 Windsor and a Ford 351 Cleveland?

What's the difference between a Ford 351 Windsor and a Ford 351 Cleveland? - 1

The windsor is a small block and the Cleveland is a big block

The clevand was cast in cleavland windsor in windsor but they are 2 different engines the cleveland being heavier also it is almost the same as the 351 m/400 or modifed it just has a taller deck hieght (distance between center line of crank and top of block) there was some good hp numbers out of the 351 c way back but nowa days you can build a 351 w that will be way better and lighter

Google your own question and you'll find plenty to read. I'm too tired to type it all out here. Here. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Whats+the+difference+between+a+Ford+351+Windsor+and+a+Ford+351+Cleveland+%3F

Hi yet again another Ford sales gimmick.

The Cleveland had great flowing heads but a poorly-oiled bottom end, while the Windsor had so-so heads but a solid well-designed bottom end. When Trick-Flow came out with the first aftermarket cast aluminum heads for the Windsor, the Cleveland was automatically obsolete.

The Cleveland shares a block with the 351 Modified and the 400. The Windsor shares a block with the 302. The Cleveland block is considerably wider than the Windsor.
