The P71 has upgraded suspension, an aluminum driveshaft, an oil cooler and oil filter adapter, tranny cooler, different rear end ratio (shorter rear axle ratio, dependent on year), upgraded brakes, rolled fender lips, 200A alternator, harder and higher transmission shift points.

As far as the engine goes, the P71 is the same as grandpa's Crown Vic. There's no "chip" or any other such engine mod.

I have a 2003 P71, used to own a 2006.

Scott is correct, but he missed the part about the person behind the wheel deserving much respect for the dangerous job they do daily. (How many thumbs down is my comment gonna get?)

Hi, does anyone know if I can install a pushbar on a civilian 2007 Crown Vic. The installer isn't sure if it will be the same as for a Police Interceptor. I just want the simple pushbars and not the side grill covers. Many thanks for anyone's guidance.
