What's the best car for a new teen driver?
I'm going to be getting my first car pretty soon and I was wondering what kind of car would be best for a 16 year old girl! I'm not too picky on the model and I just wanted to know what would be best, most affordable choice for me right now.
If you want an SUV, get a 2005-07 Ford Escape Limited. It's All Wheel Drive, nice, and fuel efficient. You can find one for around $3,000-$7,000. They are pretty good. If you get one with over 100,000 miles, look for a rebuilt transmission. It's common for the transmission to go on that specific year range. If you can afford it, get a 2008.
Something cheap and slightly large and used.
Hatchback cars are better option for the teen drivers
- Is this a good car for a teen? I'm an 18 year old male and I currently have an old truck. It has issues that are too expensive to repair. It also uses way too much gas. I really don't need a full-size medium duty truck. I've been looking for something else. I will prpbably spend $800-$1500. I found a 1993 Ford Taurus Station Wagon for $1200. It's in perfect shape and has only 80,000 miles. I really like this car. Would this be a good car? I prefer older cars.
- Best kind of car for teen? Right now i have a 2000 ford taurus and it has gotten so much work into it everything is brand new but i'm getting tired of fixing it. I was thinking of buying a pontiac g6. But i was wondering if there are any other cars that are better for around $4000
- Small SUV for teen driver? I'm only 15 now, but my mom told me I should start researching cars and SUVs. We have agreed on Nissan Rouges, Subaru Foresters, and Toyota RAV4s (possibly Honda CRVs) NO OLDER THAN 2009… My mom drives a Subaru and really wants me to get the Forester. The problem is, Foresters are more expensive than any of the others. They are all about the same size, same mpg. What would you recommend of the four? Which is the best for a new driver? Any other suggestions? (No ford, Chevy, jeep, etc.)
- Good first car for new driver? I'm almost 16 and my parents want your opinions. Would a 2005 Ford Mustang (not a gt) be an okay car for a teen? Or would there be too much power? Also if you have a mustang: How fast do they go? Any reoccurring problems linked to mustangs?
