What model of Willy's jeep should i get?

For a car i want to get a Willy's jeep and I want to either get a slat grille Willys MB, a Willys MB, or a Ford GPW but I (not knowing much about cars) don't know which is the best model, as in speed reliability, etc. So if anybody knows a lot about willys jeeps that would be great. Another thing is I don't know where to buy any that are in California so if anybody has any ideas thank you (its okay if it needs a little bit of work).

All of those you listed are great choices, The GPW was basically a Willys MB but with a slot grille instead of the Slat grille Willys used, and eventually Willys adopted the Ford style Slat grille.

As was mentioned, these classic Jeeps are great off road, but are not ideal in the road manners department, however I support your decision to buy one of these great workhorses! You'll be owning a very important piece of American history.

They can be fun weekend show and cruising cars. EBay, craigslist, or join a Willys/Jeep club to find one for sale. Go to local car and military shows to talk to owners.

Are 1950s/60s regular civilian jeeps good better than military jeeps? I'd either like an old 70s ford or an old jeep… Thanks!
