Who knows if the original pump is still there or it died long ago and someone put an electric pump in?
Open the bonnet and have a look are your eyes painted on?

Back in 1963 most all vehicles had mechanical pumps which were attached to the engine. A little arm from the pump reaches into the engine and operates from a cam that oscillates the pump arm.

Try looking up a e-bay listing by putting in as if you want to buy one.

Hi it will be a lifting pump not a high pressure one like is used today.

It's a mechanical fuel pump. Carter still makes them, model #M3528

Other answers are correct - the default is a mechanical fuel pump (the first time I replaced the one in my '65 Mustang I was stunned, because it's literally just a pump with a lever - like an old-time water pump that a cam taps on).

You can install an electric fuel pump - but it's a little more involved.

A mechanical diaphragm pump Which mounted to the timing cover and the cam shaft is what operated it or made it work by moving a armature that a lobe on the cam shaft moved up and down basically If you go electric USE A REGULATOR if you don't Your going to over feed the carb with fuel Which is not a good thing Stay mechanical, they still make them
