What is the best kind of battery for a 1956 Ford Thunderbird?
The original 29NF battery is like $400 and I'm a poor bastard so?
A girl had a car and the battery was bad, to keep costs down, find a smaller battery with the posts oriented correctly. Most cars want you to have a battery that will keep up with all the electronics in your car ie. Power widows, ac, heater fans lights, door locks and such. If your not using all those things you can get away with a small battery. Of course it won't usually last as long maybe 2yrs or more but like me and her, you do what you have to do. So don't worry about replacing the battery with the called for one unless you want to stay original, you can always later buy one. Just don't use everything at once if you have all those types of goodies but don't figure you do.
I'm sure you can find a group 27 or 29 battery for around $80, make sure posts are oriented correctly.
Walmart sells an excellent battery that is built by Johnson Controls the same company that builds OEM batteries for many auto manufactures. They will have a battery that will fit your T-Bird.
A GENUINE MOTOR CRAFT one that fits EXATLY! UseeBay for answers!
Just get a good battery from Autozone. I think they sell both Duralast and Optimax batteries for around $200. Either of those should work fine.
It's like $100 at O-reilly
- Best kind of car for teen? Right now i have a 2000 ford taurus and it has gotten so much work into it everything is brand new but i'm getting tired of fixing it. I was thinking of buying a pontiac g6. But i was wondering if there are any other cars that are better for around $4000
- Amplifier connected straight to battery with on/off switch would damage battery in any way? So i did this on my ford fusion 2016 straight connected to the battery with the on/off switch but now the car does not want to start as before makes a little noise like when battery its dead but turn on after 3 to 4 seconds any suggestions? - New alternator and battery but battery still won't charge in my ford explorer 93? My battery wouldnt charge So i just replaced my alternator a few days ago knowing it would fix the problem. It appears that the alternator was not the problem. I've got a brand new alternor and when i check the battery(running car), it just stays on 12.5V and doesn't go up. I tried using it yesterday and it just drained out on me. I tried 3 good batteries already and checked if they charge in my car but they don't. Oh, the alternator came with a volt regulator.
- What is the best and simplest way to put in subs and an amp without dimming lights and my battery dying, etc? I know that a capacitor stores unused energy if I remember right, but I'm not sure on that. I know that I could add a second battery, but I'm not sure how great that would work mounting it and on my alternator. Please help! Any info would be great! By the way, I have two Audiobahn 10" subs in a sealed, ported box with blue neons around the speakers. And the amp is a two channel 800 watt Lanzar Vector. Lastly, I drive a 1989 Ford Bronco.
