What is my class in the social hierarchy?
I'm 18 and I live with my parents. We live in a very rich town where the norm is to have a BMW or a range rover. However, my family has a Honda and 2 ford's (my parents do not like showy cars). They pay about $3,400 for our house rent. We also do a lot of shopping and spend at least $200 every shopping trip (maybe once a week). We vacation 2 times a year and we roadtrip maybe 4 times a year. From your point of view what do we sound like to you? Lower, middle, or upper?
Social Class can be based on many variables:-
Income, education, occupation, savings, home ownership and more
You say your family rent a home, but you don't mention occupation, salary, education or savings,
so I'd suggest you are not middle or upper class
Really why does it matter as long as you are all happy and healthy/
If you are in a rich area my guess is your parents own their house and can afford to live there byut see no need to be ostentatious and drive an expensive vehicle. They prefer a cheaper but reliable car. Class is based on many factors such as level on income, type of education or schooling and type of occupations your parents are in. Is $3400 for a month or a week? If its a week he would need to be earning $150,000 a year in salary to afford perhaps he prefers spending his salry living in a nice house than driving a luxury car. Its all a question of priorities.
Middle class, at the least. Most of the lower class doesn't see $3,400 in two months! How old are the Fords? More than four years? Doubt it. Probably a 2015 and getting ready to go to a 2017, since the 2016's came out a few months ago. Shopping like that would be for food, IF you have the $200. That's about two weeks worth, by the way.
Vacation TWICE a year? The people I know don't get one. No road trips unless they travel for work. To be honest, upper class who is saving money. Maybe upper middle class. My guess is your bring in close to $100K a year. Compare that to people who make less than $10,000 a year.
- Why do a lot of Class A gas RV's have a steering wheel that says Ford on them? I know a lot of Class C RV's are on a Ford Chassis, but why do a lot of Class A (flat nose) gas RV's have a steering wheel that says "Ford" on it like the one in the photo?
- Which Class A RV is more commonly rented? A) Diesel (on a Freightliner, Roadmaster, or Spartan Chassis) b) Gas (on a Ford F53 chassis) c) both A and B d) none of the above When you answer, can you give me an explanation?
- Should the United States Navy have invest in some smaller aircraft carriers instead of Ford and Nimitz class supercarriers ships? Maybe have 5 Ford and 5 Nimitz supercarriers and 10 or so smaller as the French Charles de Gualle or a World War 2 size carrier with a few planes because losing a supercarrier would be a big blow to the US military morale and cost production. Since China and Russia has the S -400 and supersonic missles long range and maybe by the year mid 2040's or so aircraft carriers would possibly be semi outdated and a use of fast large hovercraft and stealth weapons could be the next tech or so
- Ford Mustang Survey This is for a marketing class? 1. When you hear Mustang what comes to mind? 2. What are your thoughts on a four door mustang? 3. If Ford made a 4 door mustang, and you had to choose between that or a Dodge Charger which one would you choose? 4. Would you rather a mustang with 2 doors or 4 doors (Assuming performance was the same)? 5. Do you consider the Charger to be a muscle car?
