Transmission on 93 ford tempo?
It's a 2.3 HSC. Can i drop the trans separately, or do i need to pull engine and trans together? Never done a tempo before,
Reverse is gone in it, so assuming i need to change whole trans unless someone has another suggestion?
Entire front sub-frame has to come out, and engine MUST be supported. Did AOD transaxle on 92 Sable, and if I had to do it again, I'd pull engine and trans. From top, and then separate. Much quicker.

- Yellow/Constant power wire on my 93 tempo is not working, solution? I Just recently installed a new deck in my 93 ford tempo and it wouldnt turn on with the yellow wire connected, so we instead connected it with he red wire and that worked but the deck will no keep it's memory now, I'm not entirely sure if I'm giving enough information but feel free to ask me questions, thanks for the help! Not only down the memory not stay, but it very often shows an error alert and stops working completely and i have to reset the deck
- Where is the trunk safety release on a Ford Tempo? Mine doesn't have the release buttons in the glovebox and when I bought it the trunk wouldn't open. I got the back seat out but there's so much garbage and so little room I'm trying not to sift through all of it to find the safety release, does anyone know exactly where it's located?
- What happens if I remove the cone within the intake hose of my 1991 2.3L Ford Tempo GL? It has a HSC engine. Does the cone create a swirl in the air which the High Swirl Combustion engine needs? Or is it a silencer that I can remove to gain HP and fuel economy? I know these were lemons but it has no rust, was always garaged and has 130K KILOMETERS on it. - Is the transmission from a '92 Ford Tempo compatible with a '94 Ford Taurus? My transmission went out on my 1994 Ford Taurus and I can get a 1992 Ford Tempo transmission for a much cheaper price. I would please like to know if they are compatible. Thanks so much in advance! I'm a college student and I honestly can't afford much else.
