Will these tires fit?
I have a 1999 Ford Taurus that has 205/65R15 tires on them. I'm looking to replace them and a friend of mine has a set of 205/70R15. Will those tires fit on my Taurus
Yes they will fit
The car will ride 10mm higher and the gearing will be slightly higher.
The speedometer will read slightly slower too.
Sounds very promising.
As long as they have the same amount of holes on the tire and the rim isn't like 4 inches bigger your fine. The main factor is the holes
You should never go over or under 3% of the OEM size. The 205/70R15 will be 3.17% larger in overall diameter. Your speedometer will read 2 mph slow. You are borderline with these tires and you will have less tread width on the road for stopping. I would not advice you to use these tires but you probably can with no harmful results. Your choice.
They will fit, though the circumference is slightly different which will have a small effect on the gearing and the speedo.
Cool

- Can I fit 31 inch tires on a stock 1998 ford ranger XLT 2wd? I have a stock 1998 ford ranger XLT 2wd at stock hight and currently have have the tire size 225/70R14. I wanted to put 31x10.50R15LT on it. (31 inch tires). Would I have to lift my truck to put that on there or can I ride 31s stock.
- Can 225/70R16 tires fit on rims that have 225/70r14 tires on them? I have 225/70r14 tires on my Ford ranger. I just got some 225/70r16 tires of the same brand, Cooper, given to me. Will they fit on the 225/70r14 rims or do I need to get rims to fit the 225/70r16.
- Will a set of 235/60-R17 tires fit a vehicle with 225/50-R17 tires currently? If they do I'm assuming there would be a MPH difference on the speedometer. Update: The 60 series set is from a 2014 Ford Focus and are stud-less winter tires. They are to go on a 2012 Ford Fusion.
