Which cylinder is cylinder #5?
I posted this the other day but in a hurry with not much detail so here it is again I drive a 2004 Ford taurus with a v6 24v DOHC Duartec engine and my computer is reading a bad ignition coil on (coil e #5) replacing it won't. Be difficult I'm just not sure how to determine which cylinder is which
The cylinders are numbered 123 on the bank closest to the radiator. 456 are on the rear bank. #5 is a middle cylinder. As you stand looking at the belts 456 are on your right. 1 & 4 are closest to the belt
Have you tested that coil?
It would be the one in sequence between 4 and 6.
- Which is better? 1995 ford ranger which is stick or a 2004 Ford Escape? I'm a 16 year old boy and I'm lucky enough to have those two cars to choose from. Both have high mileage, like 350k on the ranger and 250k for the escape. Both have been serviced to a T. I really don't know which car would be best in the Long run. Meaning I don't know which one is most reliable and which one would be best for me and my use of maybe hauling my friends around. So which one do you think is the best choice?

I've tried removing the ignition lock cylinder but any video i watch on Youtube tells me to turn the key to replace ignition lock cylinder but i can't do that because its jammed. I've tried jiggling the steering wheel and turning the key but no luck. Pretty sure its the ignition lock cylinder but i can't get the damn thing out without turning the key
