The Taurus would be cheaper to insure if you're a teenager
Otherwise this makes no sense because you're trying to compare a sports/muscle car to a family sedan and they are NOTHING alike other being both made by ford.
The Mustang is faster, and cooler. The Taurus has loads more interior room, a bigger trunk, is easier to see out of, and is generally better suited for service as family transportation. It's easier to see out the back, and much easier to get in and out of.
If your priorities are driving like a bat outta the warm, unpleasant regions of the afterlife, and looking like a bada** while doing it, get the Mustang.
If you want to transport yourself and your family with the least amount of inconvenience and maximum level of comfort, get the Taurus.
- Which car is the overall to keep for a couple of yrs? 1999 Nissan maxima, 1999 Altima, 2006 ford Taurus or 2002 buick lesabre? All of them have low mileage as the Taurus have 69000 and the maxima have the highest of 123000. They all under 1100 bucks.

I'm leaning to the corvette since they're worth more money and I always have been a fan of corvettes, but then the mustang can fit 4 people while the vette only seats two.
