Stick with standard bulbs 50-55 Watts, or you could melt the plastic headlights in your Taurus. Don't bother with HIDs because they are awkward to fit and expensive to replace. Don't bother with blue quartz or "ultra-white" bulbs, because they run hot and burn out quickly, possibly melting the reflector in the process. LED headlights may be no brighter than halogens, just a whiter color. Try refreshing or replacing the existing headlights, if the lens has turned yellow since 2002?
