What is leaking from my car?
I have a 2000 ford Taurus and when it is leaking a darker color fluid on the passenger side and it smokes and smell's bad when I'm driving it. It is leaking from a spot above my oil pan on the side of it but I don't know what it is above that. One really confusing thing is though, is my car engine oil is not dropping and neither is my transmission fluid. What could it be that it is leaking from so I can fix it?
I suspect you have a coolant leak. Check your radiator, hoses, and I hope not but you may have a cracked head or block or maybe a rusted out freeze plug. Have you checked your coolant level lately?
- Why did my Ford E350 box truck start leaking transmission fluid? So I left my truck and didn't drive it for about a week or two and 2 days ago I noticed a huge leak that came from the transmission. - Why did my 2000 Ford Windstar just blow all off the tranny fluid out. But now its not leaking anything? I drove it with a trailer attached all day then I dropped the trailer off and drove home. When a was turning on to my street the car violently shuck but kept going I pulled into my drive way and looked under my car and big puddle of tranny fluid everywhere. So I filled it up this morning and drove it 75 miles and when I got back I was still full on fluid and nothing was leaking. So WHY?

- My buddy has a 99 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 that is leaking oil from rear passenger wheel. Any ideas on why? The brake cover is not pushed all the way against the hub. There's a half inch gap between them. Don't know if that has anything to do with it. So it has nothing to do with the wheel bearing?
