My car won't start with a new battery?
Added (1). I recently purchased a 2002 ford Taurus in September. A few days after getting the car it wouldn't start so I replaced the battery and it has been running fine for the past month and a half. Today I as I left work I turned on the car but as soon as I turned the headlights on the whole thing died. When I had it replaced the autozone guys checked my alternator and said it was running fine. The belt in the car is needing to be replaced could that have anything to do with the alternator not charging

1: What does it DO?! I can't diagnose a car without knowing the problem.
2: What is the year, make and model of your vehicle?! Since I can't diagnose it without this info.
It's possible that the new battery is not charged. It's possible that the cable connectors on the battery are dirty or not tight. It's also possible that your starter or solenoid is bad. What have you checked so far
- Car won't crank with a new battery and alternator it has no electrical power what could the problem be? I have a 1998 Ford Ranger XLT that has been running for months when I tried starting it earlier today it would click once then nothing. Now it has no electrical power at all.
- Ford Mustang 2004 car won't start after battery terminal changed? Had my battery in my 2004 ford Mustang changed. The terminal broke and was a little loose, but the car still ran. Today we changed the terminal to the battery and now the car won't start. Every thing was fine earlier with the loose terminal, but when the terminal was changed, the car decides not to start.
- Ford 2001 F-150 XLT won't start with new battery? A few days ago I learned my battery was bad so I bought a new one. I installed it and suddenly my truck won't start. I had been able to jump it with the old battery but now it won't even do that. It will crank but will not start. I have checked the inertia switch which was pressed down. I don't have the equipment to check the fuel pump or the pressure in the line. Is there anything else I can check on before I have it towed and pay a bunch of money to a mechanic to look at it?
- New alternator and battery but battery still won't charge in my ford explorer 93? My battery wouldnt charge So i just replaced my alternator a few days ago knowing it would fix the problem. It appears that the alternator was not the problem. I've got a brand new alternor and when i check the battery(running car), it just stays on 12.5V and doesn't go up. I tried using it yesterday and it just drained out on me. I tried 3 good batteries already and checked if they charge in my car but they don't. Oh, the alternator came with a volt regulator.
