Do my car's dashboard lights need to be replaced?

I drive a 2002 Ford Taurus, and my dashboard gauge lights have not been working for the past few months. I turn on my headlights. And the turn signals light up, as well as my brights signal when I turn them on (in photo), and the turn signals work when I use them, but the speedometer, fuel gauge and all other gauges won't light up. When I turn the ignition to the two position all my dashboard warning lights come on too. I've looked at my fuse boxes (both of them) and nothing. Do I need to replace the dashboard lights? And if so, how do I get into the dashboard and replace them? Any help is appreciated! Do my car s dashboard lights need to be replaced - 1

Double check that your fuses are good. If you still have a problem, you'll need to remove the instrument cluster to check the bulbs. If the bulbs are good, the cluster may be bad or the cluster may have a bad ground.

How did you get your car to fly in the air? I can only see your headlights

Most cars have a knob for the dash lights, make sure it's turned up all the way.

Test the rheostat for the dash lights first. There should be 12 volts going into the rheostat and variable voltage coming out that changes as you mess with the rheostat setting. Did you turn down the rheostat all the way by mistake?

You could look in a repair manual, if that's not more trouble than having no gauge lights.

  • 99 Ford ranger XLT base model. Park lights, dash lights, and license plates lights out I checked online and realized it was probably a fuse which it is. Fuse 11 in my power distribution box. The problem is I keep replacing at and soon as I turn on my lights it blows instantly. Have replaced it multiple times. So then I looked under my truck and disconnected the wiring to my taillights and replaced the fuse, it worked it didn't blow. Dash lights and license plates lights were on so I figured some where there's a problem with the brake lights. Any suggestions?

The cover that actually tells you what each light is has been missing since i bought the truck used. If anyone can tell me the order of the warning lights so i can wright it down and make a chart so i know what it is when it lights up.
