Car shaking around 30mph?

I have a 95 Ford Taurus, a couple of days ago the car started to vibrate kind of like going over rumble strips but it would only last between 30-35mph. Any ideas what this could be?

Could be one of several different things. It's possible that you lost a wheel weight and now you have a tire that's out of balance. OR you could have a chunk of mud stuck to the inside of your rim. OR it could be a driveshaft out of balance for some reason, or a CV joint that's getting ready to fail. Any way you go, it's not going to fix itself. Take the car in to your friendly local auto repair shop and ask them to check it out.

My Taurus did that for a while. It's probably your wheel bearings. Those need to replaced sometimes on those cars.

  • Car Sputtering around 45-50 miles an hour, RPMS not fluctuating? I just recently bought a Ford Taurus. When Driving (Especially Accelerating) the car sputters. It just started yesterday. The RPMS do not fluctuate, so I don't think, and hope its not the transmission. Any ideas?
  • Car shaking and rattling? I have a 2000 Ford Taurus, it was driving fine until to day. The car just started shaking rattling, kinda sound ed like a lawn mower. Also seems to lose power at times and has trouble shifting gears. (It's an automatic). Of anyone can help that'd be great. Could it be the transmission it perhaps bad motor mounts?

The idle keeps goin up and down kind like if you were to hit the rev limiter but it is doing it at stop lights at all rpms and the lights on the dash dim it is not consent it is speratic ford torus 1997 also it seams like sum thing is draning the battery over a weeks time

Ok, i'm looking to get a new car but after all, this is the hardest decision to make… Between the 2015 Ford Mustang. 2015 Camaro and 2015 Dodge Challenger… All v6 base models, i'm not trying to spend too much… I'm leaning towards the Mustang because our family gets a 2,500 discount on Fords and they have a rebate going on right now… If i wanted the Mustang now, I would only have to pay around 19,800 for a 26,000 car… Suggestions please
