Best kind of car for teen?

Right now i have a 2000 ford taurus and it has gotten so much work into it everything is brand new but i'm getting tired of fixing it. I was thinking of buying a pontiac g6. But i was wondering if there are any other cars that are better for around $4000

Stay away from older domestic cars. Pontiac no longer exists for a reason! Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla may not be stylish nor fun, but are VERY reliable.

The Honda Civic is a popular choice for a reason. They are generally more reliable than any other car, they hold their value well, they are cheap to own and it doesn't look like something than an 80 year old man would drive.

Honda civic or Accord. Indestructible, cheap and excellent gas mileage.

The G6 is a newer car than the Taurus, but it currently is under recall for the brake lights, ignition switches, AND it is known to have problems with the passenger airbag sensors, which means in a collision, your friend's head may make unfortunate contact with the windshield.

If you are looking for a mid-2000s sedan for cheap, look for a Mazda 6 or a Hyundai Sonata. Ford Fusions are a great car but probably out of your budget; if you still like Ford as a brand, you might be able to find a Focus or a Five Hundred.

Hyundai Elantra, 40 mpg on the highway, reliable and stylish. Shop for a deal. Regardless of what you buy, check the blue book value before buying so that you don't get taken.

A 1990s ford f150 pickup truck. They do not require a lot of maintaince. They have good gas mileage. And are cheap!

I've heard Honda Civics (around the 2001 year) are one of the best cars for teen drivers and are often very reliable and are cheap to repair and are good on gas. You can get one for around $3500.

A peddle car is a good safe car and cheap to maintain

  • What's the best car for a new teen driver? I'm going to be getting my first car pretty soon and I was wondering what kind of car would be best for a 16 year old girl! I'm not too picky on the model and I just wanted to know what would be best, most affordable choice for me right now.
  • Is this a good car for a teen? I'm an 18 year old male and I currently have an old truck. It has issues that are too expensive to repair. It also uses way too much gas. I really don't need a full-size medium duty truck. I've been looking for something else. I will prpbably spend $800-$1500. I found a 1993 Ford Taurus Station Wagon for $1200. It's in perfect shape and has only 80,000 miles. I really like this car. Would this be a good car? I prefer older cars.
  • Small SUV for teen driver? I'm only 15 now, but my mom told me I should start researching cars and SUVs. We have agreed on Nissan Rouges, Subaru Foresters, and Toyota RAV4s (possibly Honda CRVs) NO OLDER THAN 2009… My mom drives a Subaru and really wants me to get the Forester. The problem is, Foresters are more expensive than any of the others. They are all about the same size, same mpg. What would you recommend of the four? Which is the best for a new driver? Any other suggestions? (No ford, Chevy, jeep, etc.)
  • Nice cars for teen around 7,000 or lower? Fairly large cars, preferred brands, jeep, ford, hummer, ram, manly cars lol. Please give me your suggestions. And for date wise nothing below 2009.
