2010 Ford Taurus SHO worth?

What is a 2010 ford Taurus SHO worth in excellent condition? Dealer wants 14k and it has 61k on it. Any suggestions

Also is there anything i should lookout for on this car that may be a concern?

If you look at the edmunds.com site, they have a calculator which will show what that vehicle is worth… And any vehicle you are thinking of buying need to have a mechanics inspection before purchase

Too much. Offer $11500. Walk if the dealer says no.

There are several online price guides for used cars that can give you an idea of what a car is worth. Try KBB.com or NADA.com to start with.

Clean retail (what a dealership should be asking for initially is just under $12k. Trade in value is about $9300. A realistic price would be around $10.5k to a little over $11k. A $14k asking price is pretty ballsy on the dealer's part, that's considerably more then retail.

The biggest thing to watch out for would be the timing chain and water pump. The water pump is driven by timing chain, inside of the timing cover, if the water pump fails, it'll dump coolant into the oil pan, which will ruin the bearings (and basically the engine) in short order. If the water pump seizes then there's a chance the timing chain will either jump time (badly) or fail, which will ruin the heads as well. Unfortunately there's no way to really inspect the water pump without removing the timing cover, at which point you might as well replace it given the the labor involved. This is an issue with any front wheel/all wheel drive Ford with the 3.5L DOHC V6.
