2005 Bmw 745i worth getting?
There's a 2005 Bmw 745i for sale at a dealership for 11k. Its a V8 engine and wastes a lot of gas I assume. I need a car for me and my girlfriend and my baby boy since I just sold my old rusty 1992 Ford Taurus. The car has more than 100,000 miles on it. I'm not looking into leasing a newer model car because I do not want to pay a lot of money. So my question is, if you were in my situation would you lease it? And how much would you put down for a deposit?
I would never have any form of lease or finance on a vehicle of that age and mileage
For that money get a 2010 Toyota / Honda / Hyundai. Cheaper on fuel, cheaper on maintenance and more reliable
Put down as much as you can afford as the deposit. $11K would be good, but that's not always practical.
In your situation with a young family and limited income, you have to be practical. Leasing an older vehicle is a BAD idea.
And yes I'm in a similar situation, with a young family, and our 04 Toyota Caldina and 07 JDM Blade are serving us well.
Forget the Bimmer. A 10 year old 7-series will cost you a fortune just to maintain.
I would also forget about leasing. Yes, the lower price of a monthly lease is attractive compared to financing the same vehicle but a lease is just a long-term rental. You will never own the car unless you chose to buy it after the lease term is completed but that usually ends up costing more than if you had just purchased and financed the vehicle at the start.
NO NO NO NO! It will cost you a lot in gas and a ton of ca$h in repairs, and you can't be leasing when you need to be living within your means.
Buy an old but well-made car - a ten year old Toyota - and you will have a cheap, reliable car which will serve you well.
You are looking at a money pit.
That Nissan Rogue is a good car, but I'd instead get a Honda CR-V. My grandma has a 2010 CR-V that she paid $14,500 for (it had under 50,000 miles). She loves it.
You can't lease a used car though. You could finance it though.
- Would this car be worth getting? I found a Ford Taurus 2004 SEL with 57,000 miles for $5822. There are no problems with this car and it drove pretty nice. I don't really know too much about cars and this will be my first car. Do you guys think that the taurus is worth the price? Forgot to mention that it also has leather seats.
- 2012 mustang gt vs 2009 bmw 335i coupe for insurance and reliability? I'm am wondering what would be cheaper on insurance but most off all what would be the most reliable please no bias, although i'm a ford fan boy you can't argue with a bmw but i hear they arnt to reliable being twin turbo v6, and also because if they arnt reliable i don't want to be stuck with expensive a## parts to buy… I'm 19 with a clean driving record
- I'm getting my cdl next year, is it better to have experience driving a bigger vehicle before i get my cdl? I'm getting my class a cdl? I'm going to get a job driving a ford f450 dump truck hauling an excavator on a 20ft equipment trailer… I believe that if i have experience driving a bigger vehicle w/ or w/o a trailer will help, is this true
- Ford fiesta, Audi A3, VW polo/golf BMW 1series. WHICH CAR TO PICK/buy? I have around 3-5 grand to spend inc insurance. This is my short list of cars which one would be the best. I want to upgrade from my renautl clio 2000
