2003 ford taurus ses AC/Heat blower switch?

My heat or A/C only works on high. I bought a replacement switch to test to see if it was the switch. It still works only on high. I took to the switch back where i got it from.
any ideas on why my heat or A/C is only working on high?

Your blower motor resistor is bad. The high setting is only working because it does not run through the resistor. This component is usually located near the blower motor and it screws into the ventilation passage for the motor from the outside. Depending on its exact location, you can access it from either under the dashboard on the passenger side, by removing the glove box, or under the hood near the blower motor.

  • What would cause heat/ac blower motor on car to stop? Every so often the heat/ac motor on my car stops. I remove it (which is fairly easy) and put it back on. Then it works fine. I have checked the connections and fuses. They seem fine. The switch works too. Could it be a faulty motor? A new one costs $25-$50. Any ideas? 2002 Ford CV, V8, with climate control.
  • What Ford Taurus bumpers (front or rear) would fit a 2003 ford Taurus ses? Looking around and seen someone with a 2004 front bumper on a 2003. Looks nice but curious if any other bumpers would fit? I installed new centennial edition headlights with Silver Star Ultra lights. here's what it looks like so far.
  • Installing Aftermarket Head Unit in 2003 Ford Taurus SES? I can't figure out the wiring situation. I got the harness that runs all the way back to the trunk; however, it only has 9 wires. Two for each of the four speakers (8) and one to control an amp if applicable. However, while the wires from the head unit have two power wires, the harness has none. The head unit I got is a DEH-X6700BS. Please help, how do I power this head unit when the wiring harness has no wires for power, only speaker wires?!
