Wanting to replace my stock speakers with some better aftermarket ones i know they need to be 6x8 but do i need an amp for them these are the ones that i want to buy http://www.amazon.com/...003TMVAH8/ i don't think i need an amp but i know nothing about watts and rhms and all that also it says those speakers are commonly bought with an adapter for select ford models which is this http://www.amazon.com/...001OAB6BW/ will i need those adapters or not? Any knowledge would be helpfull!

NEED an amp? No.
Would an amp be helpful? Absolutely.
If you're using the stock radio (non-jbl) you're only getting about 5w per speaker. They'll produce some sound, but not much.
With a small/cheap 4 channel amp producing 30-40w per channel the overall performance of the speakers would be improved drastically. Of course a small/cheap amp would probably cost $100-150 after wiring etc, maybe a little more if you have to pay for installation.

On the speaker wire adapters -- convenient, but not at all necessary. Most of us would just cut off the stock connectors and use some crimp on terminals to connect the bare wire to the speakers.
You can always save the stock connectors and re-attach them later if you think it's necessary.

They are 35watt rms. You do not need a amp for 5 them. If you go with a more expensive speaker then yes. The only recommendation I have is get a decent aftermarket radio and you will be fine
