Smell of Petrol after driving my car?
After driving my car Ford Laser came home and parked in the garage and could smell petrol outside on left side of car only. Checked hoses, petrol cap etc could not see any leaks. Tightened the petrol cap went for a drive and could not smell anything after I came home. Why is this happening? Just had had a new radiator and service completed recently.
Could just have been fumes venting from the tank and nothing to worry about if there are no leaks
I would keep a very close eye on it, i would re inspect the fuel system, dosnt sound good with the recent work done though, i could tell some stories about taking my car to mechanics
- Ford Taurus smells hot after driving? I have a '99 Ford Taurus SE, 24 valve V6 It smells hot when we get home from any trips. I constantly have to check the oil in it. The car dealer we got it from had a newer engine put in it after it ran out of oil and seized up. I swear I did regular maintenance to it. 5 quarts of oil burns pretty fast inside a month. Something was wrong with the first engine. Are these engines notorious for problems? It's the only thing we have ever had issues with on the car.
- How do i get rid of weed smell on my car seats? I recently purchased my first car and the car is perfect but the seats reek of cigarettes and weed and I would like to shampoo it but I simply don't have the time to do it or the money to pay someone to do it. Plus it's embarrassing when I have people ride with me. Is there a spray or something I could use to rid my seats of that odor that's affordable and not time consuming? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
- Listed as driving an ATV on my speeding ticket when I was driving a Truck? I live in Minnesota and received a speeding ticket yesterday. When I looked it over it said the vehicle was an ATV. I was driving a Ford Truck. Is this how they list all trucks on tickets or did the officer make a mistake. The citation was correct just not the type of vehicle.
- Filling my car with petrol? I'm just concerned because my one of my mums friends told me that always filling up your car with half a tank of fuel does the car no good? Well since I been driving and had my car 4 months a ford ka, I've never let it go past half a tank of fuel should I let it go to empty then fill up? :-/
