Should we still keep our military in South Korea if North Korea agrees to a Peace Treaty?

This happened in Vietnam after the Paris Peace Accords we left and all the liberal politicians in Congress voted to cut aid to South Vietnam while the USSR was re supplying the North. After Nixon was driven from office North Vietnam violated the peace agreement and attacked the South and the democrats took over Congress and blocked Ford from sending any possible aid to the South. That's how Vietnam is communist today. If we pull out of South Korea and considering if the democrats win the House and Senate this November they could very likely do the same with Trump.

There would be no need to.

We should keep them there until South Korea says they don't them.

No

We still have troops in Germany. We still have troops in Japan. I don't see why we should not still have troops in South Korea. We only have about 30,000 troops in South Korea and their purpose is to die if North Korea invades, thereby declaring war on the United States.

That will probably be discussed at the meeting. Obviously North Korea will have some demands of their own. I can't see North Korea giving up their nukes without some concessions from the USA. North Korea may want US troops out and UN peace keeping troops moved in.
