Revs automatically increase when I bring the clutch to the biting point without even using accelerator pedal, do most modern cars do this?

So when I put the car (It's a 2017 Ford Kuga) into first gear and lift the clutch pedal to the biting point (without putting my foot on the gas to manually set the revs in order for the car to move) the revs automatically increase to allow the car to pull away easily without stalling, I've experimented with it off road and even if I let it up quite quickly it will lurch forward but won't stall. Is this typical of modern manual transmission cars or is it just certain car models that possess this cool feature?

You may have some kind of anti-stall/hill-start assist feature going on, but I'm not familiar with Kuga

Car might be programmed to do that. Are you positive your foot is not on the gas pedal? If it is not broken, do not fix it.

  • What kind of car is this? It's a modern day Ford, pre- 2010,? Here's an under exposed shot of the side,. The car on the left of the screen,. is it a taurus?"
  • 96 Ford Ranger clutch pedal? From time to time when I get into truck the clutch pedal won't go down. It hasn't happened while driving. After a little time it's back to normal. The truck did sit for a year, could this have anything to do with it? I'm not sure if I should be driving the truck or not. Insight please.
  • How to fix brake pedal without bleeding brakes? A car got in my lane so I pushed on the brake hard, now my brake pedal goes super low. I've done it before and a mechanic friend reversed and accelerated in my driveway, this fixed the brake going low problem (my brakes were super firm). I do not remember exactly what he did though and he's not available. My brake pads also still have half their lives. My brake fluid is also full and still has its light color. My car is a 2009 Ford Fusion Sel. What do I do?
  • What is causing my car to vibrate in the accelerator? I just took a road trip to and from Vegas. In a ford explorer 2013. Now the accelerator vibrates when driving. At first I thought it might have been a strut because the left front wheel was lower than the others. But when I checked later in a different location it looked fine.
