2002 Ford Ranger XLT v6
I Close doors securely and start driving. After a few minutes the "door ajar' alarm starts going off but the door ajar light on the board doesn't light up. It does work because if I open the door, it lights up. I try closing the door again and make sure cap on gas tank is closed but door ajar alarm still goes off. It runs for a few mminutes while I'm driving. What's the problem here?
My ford ranger head gasket blow and I want to replace the engine now and I was wondering if there's other ford engines like the explorer or maybe the Taurus that I can use as a replacement my ford had a 1999 v6 3.0 engine 2 wheel drive. Are there any interchangeable engines that I can use as a replacement. I can't seem to find any similar ford ranger engines and if i do they are priced more than my truck is worth. Can someone please help and let me know if there are other makes on the ford product line that can be interchanged with that same year. Please be as detailed as possible.
Is this a good first truck? Are they reliable? Will be doing a lot of Mudding, off-roading, and every now and then hauling a couple things, not major stuff though. Please answer. If not a good truck, suggest a good truck within these year models.
Can a drive shaft from a 91 ford ranger ext cab fit on a 96 ford explorer xlt both have 4.0 v6?
I turn the key and the starter just keeps trying to catch but engine never does. I've replaced the fuel filter, fuel lines and sensor in the fuel tank. Spark plugs and wires, alternator, timing belt, starter and battery are all less than a year old. I don't let the gas tank get below a quarter of a tank.
Ok so I have a 91 ford ranger with a 3.0 extended cab xlt. Its a manual trans and it's not 4x4. So anyone know what its towing capacity is?
So as i was taking the headliner out to replace the fabric on it i snapped the dome light i didn't see you had to unscrew it so now the stereo stopped woking when i took the dome light out. How do i get the stereo to work again its a aftermarket one came with the truck when i bought it btw the truck is a 1994 ford ranger xlt extended cab 3.0 liter. Please hel[p me
I have a 1999 Ford ranger 3.0 xlt 4X4 4 door ext cab. But today after replacing the instrument cluster light bulbs how ever during the repair I was listening to music on the trucks stereo and pulling tools out of the passenger side so all 4 doors where open not sure if it makes a difference. Anyways after completing the repair i noticed that my dome lights did not come back on and after further investigation neither did my speedometer or wipers/wash 4x4 switch warning chimes and power windows. However my key-less entry turn signals flash to pass high low switch still works. I looked at the pins and the connectors to the G.E.M there was no corrosion. So i was wondering if it could be the G.E.M. And thought I would ask before dumping $400 dollars on a new one.
My alarm ding ding ding etc. Is ringing constantly whenever the my truck is running. The interior lights stay on continuously so I removed the bulbs for fear of a fire. I think the alarm is indicator for a door open. However, the dummy light does not stay on so I could be wrong as to what to do. Service station mechanic wants $88 just to diagnose the problem. He seemed to think it was the door open sensor which he says are now in the interior so needs diagnose which one involved or some such b.s. The $88 is for labor only for diagnosis only, and not for repair or parts.
How do I remove the bed on a 93 ford ranger?/is the fuel tank mounted to the bed?
