Is it safe take my truck's AC system out to find a leak?

I have a 1992 ford ranger 2wd 4.0L v6

Had it for 6 years now and it never had AC. Far as I know owner before me didn't have any AC. I've charged it before but it all leaks out in a unknown place in about an hour time. I have pushed the high and low pressure valve few times about 3 weeks ago. There isn't any pressure in the AC system. It has been a year since I tired refilling it.

I just want know is it safe to take my AC out of my truck and look at few of the parts that I can't see of it?

Not really looking fix it. More of just wanting know what was wrong with it all of these years

Side note:
The last time I gave it a try with refilling it bunch of white chunky stuff started fly out of the place I put the refrigerant in at. I have no ideal if the truck had been converted from R12 to R134. Only thing I have is something that screws on and off the place I put my refrigerant in at

Added (1). Have used that ultravolet light thing few times. I think that what that white chunky stuff was flying out

My keeps dying while i'm driving?

I have a 2000 ford ranger XLT 2.5 liter 5 speed. The truck shakes while i accelerate and seems like its not getting power or being held back in a way. If I floor the vehicle I hear something rattling in the back from either the trans or the exhaust i'm not sure exactly where its coming from. The vehicle eventually gave out but I replaced my fuel pump and the truck shakes less but, still has the same problems and on top of that I have to pump gas to get it to start and it dies while i'm driving. Does anyone know why my vehicle would be doing this. I know I have a EGR valve code on my check engine right now other than that, thats all I know thats wrong with it so far.

What car should I get for my first car?

I'm 16 and about to buy my first car. I'm thinking about getting a 94 Ford Ranger (120k miles) with lifted suspension, off road tires, and a prerunner bumper. Would this be a reliable car throughout my high school years? Should I get that or should I just get a 2 door coupe?

What is a transmission insulator and retainer?

I'm working on changing my oil pan on my 1988 ford ranger. One of the steps in my Haynes guide says to remove the transmission insulator and retainer. Can someone tell me what those are?

Small trucks, good on gas? Suggestions?

I'm going to be buying a small truck here in a few weeks. I've been looking mainly into Ford Rangers, I'm a girl who has no experience with trucks and I'm really needing some good advice on what small trucks would be best on gas. I need something handy that could haul a dirt bike and a few things here and there, but one that is also good on gas for driving long distances. Thank you in advance for your help, I really appreciate it!

Truck sputters at high rpm?

I have a 2003 ford ranger with a 3.0 v6. I just recently unhooked the muffler to make it sound deeper. When the truck is in park idling an I rev the engine it starts to sputter kinda like a rally car. It starts doing it at 3000 rpm when I hold the gas to rev it. But when is in drive I can get it to like 5000 rpm and it doesn't sputter at all an sounds normal. And I wanted to know why it does that? My friend has the same engine in his ranger but It doesn't do that to his. Is it because I took the muffler off and it ain't getting enough back pressure?

What truck is a size up from a Ford Ranger?

I'm thinking of getting a 17 foot tri hull boat and i'm just not sure my ranger would be able to pull it up the ramp, so what truck would be a size up from the ranger?

Added (1). Also does anything think my ranger could handle it? Its a 91 ranger xlt 3.0 v6 right now it only has a hook up for a small boat but i could get an actual towing kit.
