Need help settling a dispute, should I?

Ok wife wants to trade our 2003 ford ranger with 70,000 miles for a 2014 Fiat wagon, with 109,000 miles, should we do it? I lean towards no myself.

No. There are just certain cars you should never buy, including Fiats, most Chrysler/Plymouth products, Jeeps, Hummers and old Mercedes and Jaguars. Our neighbors had a Jeep Cherokee (big bucks) that needed major repairs at 60K miles, bought another Cherokee which just last week needed major repairs at 70K miles. We're talking multi-thousand dollar repairs. They just bought two Hyundais. Many people think all cars are the same - that's like thinking all people have the same intelligence.

Fiat is about the worst brand of vehicle you can buy from a reliability and quality perspective, especially one with 109K miles. FIAT = Fix It Again Tony

No. The Fiat has way too many miles on it.

I wouldn't either, Doug. The Fiat was not a reliable vehicle the day it rolled off the assembly line. Now with over 100k miles it is nearing retirement.

Keep the Ranger, good market value and with a topper can set up mattress to sleep in when leaving wife.

Keep the truck. Never buy a fiat.

A low mileage ranger is FAR better than any Fiat. Crazy to even consider it.

The Ranger will last and serve you well for MANY years, and the Fiat may last about 30 minutes before needing repairs. MAN UP and say NO.

Better go for new cars.
