My gas gauge isn't working right?
2001 ford ranger 3.0 manual 2wd. My gas gauge is fluctuating but it doesn't really correlate to how much gas is in my tank. I'd say that it goes between 1/4 and 5/8 most of the time.
What should i check? How do i check it? Is there anyway i can read the voltage on the sending unit to see if its good? I'm out of ideas
If it's a 2001, the sender is probably bad. Or the float is rusted off or leaking.
- Rpm gauge not working normally? I have a 2004 Ford Freestyle and I noticed today my RPM gauge has been acting funny. When I turn the car on, rather sitting just above 0 it is sitting at one. When I start to accelerate it would normally go up to a 2 but instead it is going to almost 3. It is an older car with 150k miles on it. I'm not car savy in any way but I want to know what could possibly cause this and if it will be an expensive fix or not.
- Why isn't my temperature gauge going up? I have a 2004 ford ranger 2.3. Its 48 degrees right now in texas and its raining. I cranked my truck and it died 10 seconds later. I cranked it 2 more times and it would die as soon as it turned on. I tried a fourth time and it turned. The truck has been on for 45 minutes and the temperature gauge hasn't moved at all. The heater is working fine though and the truck isn't making any weird noises or smells. What could be the problem?
- Gas gauge issues 2001 ford ranger 2wd manual 3.0 engine. 12 gallon gas tank? The gas gauge fluctuates between 3/8 and 7/8 somewhat correlating to the amount of gas in my tank but it isn't accurate. What can i do to try and fix this problem? I'm hoping it isn't the float in the gas tank and would like to cover everything else before i drop my gas tank. additional information will be added as requested Gas gauge problems? 2001 ford ranger with a 3.0 engine manual transmission and a 12 gallon gas tank
- 89 Ford Ranger gas gauge is stuck? I haven't actually made a serious effort to fix the problem, but when I do where would be a good place to start?
