Is the 1999 Ford Ranger fuel efficient?
Someone told me that they are decent on fuel efficiency, but reviews online aren't helping too much. Anyone have one?
Considering they offered both a V6 and a 4-cyl I would think they'd be pretty good, but of course HOW good depends on what engine you had.
(though you'd probably want the V6 if you were going to do anything OTHER than drive it empty, lol

As a truck kind of, but generally there are more fuel efficient vehicles
I have a 2002 4.0 4x4 in the winter I get 18MPG.in the summer on a good week I will get 20MPG… They are not the best gas mileage trucks
- Which car is the overall to keep for a couple of yrs? 1999 Nissan maxima, 1999 Altima, 2006 ford Taurus or 2002 buick lesabre? All of them have low mileage as the Taurus have 69000 and the maxima have the highest of 123000. They all under 1100 bucks.
- Location of 1998 Ford Taurus fuel pump. Does it have a fuel cut-off switch? Car shut down suddenyl without warning. New battery and cranks but will not start. Suspect bad fuel filter, 130K miles and fuel filter has never been replaced.
- My 1999 ford ranger has 20 lbs of pressure on the fuel line. Do i need a fuel pump? After I tested the pressure and shut the motor off the pressure went down to 0 quick. When I just turn the key I don't get any pressure
- How is it driving a fuel efficient vehicle? I'm comparing a 2012 ford focus 2.0 liter fwd and a 2013 kia sorento 3.5 awd. According to a website. Driving the kia is $900 more a year. But you get so much more than what you get in a focus. So isn't the $900 worth it? I don't get why everyone would rather buy a tiny fuel efficient car when you don't really save thatt much money.
