How to fix a 1996 Ford Ranger 6 cylinder that is stuck in park?
It won't get out of park when the vehicle is running.
Check your Brake Light. Check your Brake Fuse first. If it's still out it is most likely the Brake Switch and not the Bulbs. Because that also sends a signal to the Shift Interlock Solenoid that allows you to shift out of Park. But sometimes the Solenoid goes bad too.

And i used a wrong key by mistake yesterday and now my actual key won't work. I've tried removing the ignition lock cylinder but any video i watch on Youtube tells me to turn the key to replace ignition lock cylinder but i can't do that because its jammed. I've tried jiggling the steering wheel and turning the key but no luck. Pretty sure its the ignition lock cylinder but i can't get the damn thing out without turning the key
