Ford Ranger Dash Lights?
I have a 2000 Ford Ranger 3.0 v6 and need to replace the dash lights. I was thinking about switching out the regular bulbs with LEDs but don't know which kind I should get. What are the sizes for the main 6 bulbs and the little ones and what kind of LEDs and/or regular bulbs should I get?
I have a 2001 Ranger but have never pulled the dash lights so don't know what size they are. However if you pull the bulbs they'll have a number on them. If there's an LED replacement any parts store should be able to supply it. Not all LEDs are dimmable so they may not make a replacement for the dash bulbs. They need to be dimmable since too bright dash lights at night are a real distraction.
There are youtube videos on how to do this. There are LED lights available for your dashboard lights. You will need an LED that fits into a standard 194 bulb socket. Some of the LED lights are polarized so they are position sensitive. In other words, if the LED doesn't work, remove the bulb and rotate 180 degrees and insert it back into the socket and it will work.
Pull the dash, remove the lights and replace with the same. Your truck does not have much time left. The transmission can go bad tomorrow. Do not waste money on it.
- 99 Ford ranger XLT base model. Park lights, dash lights, and license plates lights out I checked online and realized it was probably a fuse which it is. Fuse 11 in my power distribution box. The problem is I keep replacing at and soon as I turn on my lights it blows instantly. Have replaced it multiple times. So then I looked under my truck and disconnected the wiring to my taillights and replaced the fuse, it worked it didn't blow. Dash lights and license plates lights were on so I figured some where there's a problem with the brake lights. Any suggestions?

When I turn the 4x4 selector knob nothing happens I'm pointing out that the light comes on before it starts because its not the actual 4x4 module thats the issue like everyone assumes from he start.

I have a 1983 ford ranger, I come on here when I can't find something out about it, The dash lights do not come on and I don't know why everything else works except the dash lights, I don't understand, I haven't checked any fuses yet I will do that tomorrow, but I don't think that is the case since it is wired to the headlights which work perfectly fine, thanks!
- Headlights and dash lights don't work? I have a 1988 Ford F-150. Yesterday the headlights came on once then the next time I went to turn them on they wouldn't work. However, at the time my tail lights wouldn't work. I checked all my fuses and replaced one that went to the tail lights. I can't find anymore blown fuses. Any ideas? If there's a short how can I find it?
