Can you use a 110V AC power inverter for a 200V system?

Seems like a brainless question doesn't it? Here is my predicament. I've got this old Ford Ranger that I put a turbo in, but I want to get it some good sound. I have a Altec Lansing system I want to hook up inside of there, but on the back of the system it says 200V, and most AC interters only go to 110V. So how would this affect the speakers (if they would work at all). Also, does anyone know of a >200V power inverter?

I think your are reading something wrong. There's 220V, not 200 Volt. Are you sure it isn't 200VA?

Or 200W?

  • Inverter -vs- Gas Generator? I'll be starting work on our house next spring, and, as there's no power out there yet, I need to bring my own. So, I would like to know the pros and cons of using a gas generator, vs an inverter that is run off my 4-cyl Ford Ranger. Just so you know, the inverter set up already has a point in its favor in that I will be able to continue using it after the solar panels are set up.
  • When changing the power steering pump on a KA (54) can you use PTFE tape to seal the pressure line from pump? I have changed the power steering pump on a ford KA (54) and when removing the pressure line from the pump there was some kind of seal on it but I don't know what it was, so I was hopping that PTFE tape would do the same job at sealing the thread. Any help please. Andy.

  • What happens if you use the same bottle you put gas in to put water in your radiator? I accidentally used the same bottle I put gas in to put water in my 99 Ford Explorer radiator and now it's been over heating non stop, I'm on the side of the highway now. The water comes out brown and gooey and I bought Prestone Flush+Cleaner, twice I followed the steps and it still overheats and the brown gooey stuff, oh yea and I'm not sure if this is bad but there's white smoke coming out of the exhaust
