Hi no that shows it has a fault with it's braking system.
You can just pull the ABS pump system fuse and the brakes will work as regular brakes that are on cars with out ABS. That fuse is one of the larger fuses in the engine compartment fuse box. If you can't find the fuse just disconnect the ABS pump wiring connector.
- How to bypass the antitheft on 2004 ford Taurus? Bought a car for a demo off a guy who did not have keys for it. It came from an impound towing place so they gave us only the title and my boyfriend ripped out the ignition and it won't start now by hot wiring it because the anti theft won't let it fire. Anything we can do? Getting a key is not an option because he pulled it all out.
- Valve job on a 98 ford ranger 145k miles? So i took my truck to my mechanic and he said there was a miss fire in cylinder 4 he tried to see if it the plugs and coils and what not but he then said I needed a valve job and it would be $2500 is that a reasonable price? What should I do? Any advice?
- I have a 1999 Ford Ranger XLT 4.0L 2 Wheel Drive which I suspect the Proportional Valve maybe malfunctioning? When applying my brakes while slowing down from freeway speeds, I feel a pulsating sensation which seem to come from the rear drum brakes. Once my speed go below 40 MPH, the pulsation disappears. I don't have this problem when stopping from below 40 MPH. The rear brakes don't lock up when I apply brakes at any speed. But it could be that the pulsation while breaking down from high speed is normal.
- Any way to bypass the Ford PATS system? *I lost my original keys to my 2001 Ford Ranger.* Ordered a new lock cylinder prior to knowing about the PATS system. Drilled the old one. What can I do? Have a new set of keys with no chip in them. Truck will not start. Theft light blinks and I get nothing.
