Around what will I likely pay a month for car insurance?

I'm 32 yrs old
I'm male
The vehicle is an 87 ford ranger (2.0L)
Using vehicle for work and school.
I want bare minimal coverage.

You'll want to ask someone who sells insurance in your area. It varies quite a bit based on location.

You can get free quotes you know. Geico, progressive, all state, state farm, farmers, and others. Just go on their websites, type in your vehicle information and VIN number if you have it, and see what offerings they have. Talk with an agent if you need help with more information.

It depends on a dozen variables. Your driving record, where you live, what your deductible will be, etc. Etc.

Why not go to a website that quotes insurance. Esurance, Progressive, Geico, State Farm, etc. All have quotes over the Internet.

I would ask the insurance company this question

You'll pay anywhere between an arm & a leg and holy Jesus are you kidding me. Thank you for asking.

If you want an answer with numbers in it, or an answer that isn't a complete guess, you'll have to ask an insurance provider. Insurance providers don't do estimates on this site.

You would pay what it costs where you live. You would not pay around what it would cost anywhere else in the world. If you live where it costs 50 for a 32 year old male, then you would pay that. If you live where it costs 10000 for a 32 year old male, then you would pay that. There's no number that you would pay around unless you lived in the place where that number was the price.

Depending on the state where you have your car registered, "minimum coverage" for liability insurance could be as low as $10,000 or $15,000, which is a really STUPID idea!

Imagine if you are driving along and have an accident. You are found responsible for the damages that "total" someone's brand new $60,000 4x4 pickup or SUV and sends the driver to the hospital. Your insurance only pays $10,000… Guess what happens next!

Yep… You go to court and the Judge says you have to pay for the damage you caused AND for the other guy's hospital bills. Have you got another $75,000 in your piggy bank?

Go talk to a REAL insurance agent and find out what a realistic amount of liability insurance is going to cost for your old POS truck.

$75

You will pay "around" anywhere from $10.00 to $10,000.00.
If you need a better number, ask a couple of insurance companies because nobody here sells insurance or can give you an "around" number.

32 years old and asking such a lame question?

You don't give nearly enough information for anyone to give you even a wild guess. Where you live makes a huge difference to car insurance.

  • What happens if I make more than one payment per month on my car from Ford? I want to ferociously pay my car loan off as soon as possible. My car payment from Ford is due every 15 of every month, but I was wondering if I could make more than one payment per month. Lets say if I make 6 payments in one month of 100 dollars on top of the monthly payment due on the 15 of every month, is that allowed by ford, or do they charge a fee for making extra payments on their car loans?
  • Vibration/thumping in front suspension. More than likely.drivers front 2002 Ford Sport Trac Vibration/thumping. More speed, the more it vibrates, shakes, and makes the thump thump thump sound. Passenger side mirror shows no sign of movement… Drivers side mirror shakes quite a bit. No noticeable noises other than the thumping. No hard pulling to either side in steering wheel. No difference when braking. Any input would be very much appreciated!
  • Why do I have to pay so much for insurance? I'm 18, and I bought a car. A 1999 Ford Taurus. I'm only driving about 2 miles a day, to and from work. I have to Pay around 200 dollars a month for insurance. This infuriates me because my sister, who is 20 and is a terrible driver, is paying 100 dollars a month, and is driving around 20-30 miles a day. It doesn't seem fair. Is this price expected, or am I being ripped off?
  • Do I likely have a bad battery or altenator? For the first time and out of the blue yesterday my 2000 ford ranger had problems starting up. It started though then randomly died while I was at a gas station and I had to have it jumped, it took a long time for it to start with the jump. Once started I took it straight home and parked it since it has so much trouble starting. This morning I went to see if it starts and it started right up without a problem. What's with the inconsistency?
