Am i the only one that thinks a 2003 4.0 ford ranger can beat a 1999 5.2 dodge dakota?
I mean the ranger weighs alot less and has a 5 speed transmission when i think the dakotas have 4 speed so thats another advantage for ranger… Any one have experience and has actually raced these please fill me in with answers
Who knows, but you're probably the only one who cares.
The 318 will blow the doors off the 4.0, any time, any day of any week.
Though I've owned the dodge, since I don't buy trucks to race them I can't say for sure
I've driven an explorer with that motor and it is a total dog. The 5.2 Dodge engine wins hands down. You are better off comparing the dodge 5.2 to the ford 4.6 if there's to be any sort of challenge.

- Who thinks chevy and ford should do this? Who thinks that chevy and ford should get together and somehow combine their muscle cars and make a ultimate muscle icon? I know it's history all behind them, but just think of all the sales and newslines.
- Who else thinks that the Ford ranger will get discontinued? The models up until 2012 looked great, and they seemed to sell ok. I saw pictures of the newer models, 2012-now, and they look ugly. But the interior looks nice and comfortable. But I don't see hardly anyone driving the newer models. They can't be selling well.
- I have a 1999 ford ranger and i have coolant in one of my vacuum lines? Its the red line that runs to the egr vacuum mod on the passenger side of the motor. The part that the egr line goes to as well. I'm not sure why I have coolant running through a vacuum line. This causes coolant to run to the egr valve so I need to fix it
- What car can beat a mustang 5.0? I mean really is there even a car around the same price range that can beat a ford mustang 5.0? And yes both cars being completely stock and let's say 2014-2015?
