2000 Ford ranger pickup- wet floorboards?
I have a 2000 Ford ranger that has soaked floorboards after it rains. It is not the heater core, as I don't smell antifreeze, it's not loosing coolant, and it only happens after a rain. Everything appears to be sealing properly, but I know something is not. Any ideas?
Door seals or rusty floor boards
Chief culprits if you're in an area with snow - Rusted through the vents near the windshield wipers or a failing seal at the bottom of your windshield. The water will come in through the firewall and won't be seen on the dashboard.
Lower Windshield Seal
Check tye door drain holes and check that the sealing plastic is still behind the dioior trims
Close the doors and windows, get a garden hose and "leak-check" your truck.
I imagine you've looked at the usual suspects: The Windshield and Door Seals and Weatherstripping. It may be the Cowl Intake Tray, the thing underneath the grates by the wipers that let Fresh Air in. They have Drain Lines that may be plugged or the tray may be cracked. You usually need to remove the wipers to get to it. They have an inexpensive tool to pull the wiper arms off, just remember how they sit or take a pic.
- Why did Christine Ford not change her wet swimsuit before coming to the party? She said that she had been swimming and practicing her dives at the pool when the invite to the party came, and so she had her one-piece swimsuit on under her clothes. But why she didn't change her wet swimsuit into her dry underwear after swimming? Did she go to the pool in a swimsuit? Did she wear her clothes on a wet swimsuit?
- Should I wet sand after multiple stages of dry sanding? I'm restoring/painting my 79 ford truck. I have got the whole truck down to bare metal but there's scratches you can see when the light hits it. I'm in the process of smoothing them out using 80 grit then 180 grit then 320 grit but I'm wondering if that's gunna be smooth enough and not show any scratches after my paint job is done. I'm also using bright baby blue if that makes a difference
- What do y'all think of a ford ranger pickup 1990? I'm interested in a 1990 ford ranger pickup truck. It is a four cylinder and 5 speed truck. Do any of you have any good experience with these trucks?
- Does the oil pan have to be removed to change the rear main seal on a ford 3.0L V6 in a 2000 ford ranger? I have the engine removed from the truck and was swaping in a salvaged engine that all checks out good except for a slight leaking rear main seal. So, after inspecting the rear main seal, it appears as though a could just slide it out and a new one in. Does the oil pan need to be removed? Or can I just carefully remove the old seal and clean the surfaces good and install a new one?
