1994 ford ranger 2.3. 5 speed manual. No fuel to engine when starting? - 1
Manually jumped fuel pump from battery, gives 40 psi at the fuel rail. Injectors arnt fireing, even with the fuel pump manually running. Inertia switch is good.
Maybe its broken
That's nice. Did you want to ask a question while you're here.
Does the Fuel Pump Relay click?
Injection and pump power depend on the ignition signal. Do you have spark? The ignition pick-up signal is used to trigger injectors, spark and the fuel pump relay.
If you have no spark and no injector pulse the crankshaft sensor is where I start throwing parts if you don't have an oscilloscope to test the crankshaft sensor wave form.
Check the fuse and relay.
- Possible engine swap from 3.0 to 4.0 on 1994 Ford Ranger XL 4x4 manual? I'm wondering if I can drop a V6 4.0L engine straight into a V6 3.0L Ford Ranger XL? Both are 1994 ford rangers, everything the same as far as model/year just different size engine… And if not, what would need to be converted? I found a 4.0 for $250 with 0 miles so if its as simple as swapping engines/trannys I'm going to go for it… Thanks for help!
- My 1999 ford ranger has 20 lbs of pressure on the fuel line. Do i need a fuel pump? After I tested the pressure and shut the motor off the pressure went down to 0 quick. When I just turn the key I don't get any pressure
- 1994 Ford Ranger, Rough Cranking When Engine Is Warm/Hot? - 1994 Ford Ranger - 2.3l Engine - 110k Miles My truck has been having problems cranking when the engine is warmed up/hot. When the engine is cold or hasn't been started for like 2-3hours, it will start right up. I have a few ideas of what it may be, but I would like others opinions also. - ECT Sensor? - ICM? - Crank Sensor? Those are the three I have thought of that could be causing a problem with my situation.
- Ford Focus 2008 1.6 Engine Lights Flashing/Blinking. Engine shakes when starting up and idle as well. Had smoke coming out yesterday? So yesterday when I was driving my ford focus 08 and stopped at a light, the exhaust started smoking. When I revved more it smoked more, but it was also smoking on idle a little. The CEL check engine lights are blinking slowly when I start up the car. What could this be? I was thinking spark plugs and/or ignition cables.
