1992 ford ranger tail light not working?
1992 ford ranger, the rear running lights don't come on when i turn the headlights on. They use the same bulb as the brakes and the turn signals but both of those works, there's no voltage coming through the wire that is for the running lights when the switch is on, however the license plate lights both have 12.18V coming through and they light up. Could it be the wire has frayed over time? If not what else could it be?
Yes.
Check to see if there's trailer light wiring near the bumper. These are often temporary use adapters and often short out. BTW did you check if the tail light fuse is open
- My 1992 ford ranger does not read fuel correctly I filled it up and drove of when the gage read full, 10min later it reads empty, same thing happens when there's little to no gas in it. Is it a bad sending unit, fuse, or gage?
- How to put the wiring harness back on a 93 ford ranger for the tail lights after I put the bed back on? How do I put the wiring harness back on a 93 ford ranger for the tail lights after I put the bed back on?
- Middle tail light won't turn off on my 05 mustang? It's a 2005 v6 Ford Mustang. So it's on the tail light on the right side, and it's the middle bulb out of the 3 on the sequential light. And it is always on. The tail lights all work fine, but the one light stays on. Regardless Whether the car is on or off it just stays on. Financially it would be great if I could do this at home, so I d love some help thanks!
- Headlights, instrument cluster lights, tail lights, and dome light all stopped working at once? 1995 Mustang GT convertible, fuses are good, switch is good. I'm about to do a voltage drop test on it tomorrow but I wanted to see if you Ford guys knew something that I'm overlooking.
