1990 ford ranger clutch master cylinder?
My master cylinder broke so i replaced it it has a hard line going from master cylinder to slave cylinder anyone know how to connect the hard line on my new master cylinder
It should be a flared brass fitting.
Turn the flare fitting nut clockwise. Make sure not to cross thread the fitting. Sometimes, you have to move the steel line slightly to get the threads matched.
If I recall that one has a small roll pin that is tapped in from the side with a small hammer. The line has an o-ring on the end to seal it. You hold it in tight and tap the roll pin in. A roll pin punch is ideal but you can make do with whatever is close to the pin diameter.

- Let the master cylinder run dry and now the brake pedal goes to the floor when I turn the car on. Is air still in the system? I pulled the car out of storage and i noteced the left front caliper was leaking so I replaced the caliper. The only problem was the master cylinder ran dry. I bleed the brakes three times. I did not see any air in the lines after I bleed them a third time. When the car is off the brake pedal gets rock hard when the pedal ia depressed about half way. With the car on the brake pedal goes to the floor. Would this be cause by air in the system? The car is a 03 ford focus.
- Ford F 150 Clutch Master Cylinder? I'm replacing the master cylinder. Are there any tricks to putting the pin in? It's started, but can't get it to go through. I think I need to hold the line in with one hand, while holding the unit itself onto something solid, and tapping it with a hammer. BUT WAIT! That's three hands?
