Paint problems on Mercury Grand Marquis?
The paint is flaking off my Grand Marquis. I first noticed when using a high pressure hose at a car wash. Started looking the car over and found several places where the paint seems to be just falling off. Is this common with Ford/Mercury products?
Maybe the car was repainted by a body shop and the paint wasn't prepped right. That would be the first thing I'd check.
- What original Ford CD players will work and fit perfectly for a 2000 grand Marquis? I want to know if I can take a CD player from an older, pre 2003 Ford, and put it in my grand marquis. I know it had to be sloped to fit in perfectly and there are different connectors. I tried looking at a junkyard, but none had CD players.
- Shifting problems and intake problems? I drive a 1997 ford ranger with a 2.3l automatic. I have recently experienced a hard shifting in my truck even when I'm not on the gas it has problems shifting. And I cleaned my air filter and filter hose that goes to my throttle body and there was transmission fluid in the hose. What can be causing this and how can I fix it or how much will it cost roughly?
- Could I use spray paint to paint my car a different color? I currently have a red 2015 ford Mustang, but I want to paint it black and add a few designs to it. Could i pull this off with regular spray paint or is there a certain kind i must use?
- Is Mercury Grand Marquis/Ford Crown Vic a good 1st car? Looking for a first car and I'm really interested in a Grand Marquis/Ford Crown Vic and want to know opinions on the car as a 1st car and in general. They seem to be well maintained and used lightly by a generally older crowd. Opinions?
