I have a wrecked 1986 Ford Thunderbird and I want to put the engine into a 1985 town car. I was wondering if this can be done, and if so, what problems could I run into?
I'm competent, I'm planning on going to school to be an electrical engineer and do a lot of electrical/electronic projects on my own. But I just finished puting heated seat pads in my mom's 02 ford minivan and went out to wire it up. I took off the panel under the dashboard and ther's two or three bundles of probably around 30 wires and it's not easy to tell at all where they go. I have a multimeter but I don't want to go cutting up wires if I'm just guessing what it is. Plus it's below freezing outside so I don't wanna spend all day outside trying to trace where wires go. Is there an easy way to tell? Or a wiring diagram somewhere?
My car was purchased early 2013 for $4500. 80,000 k's, engine in great condition.
I'm now needing to renew my comprehensive car insurance but most insurers are only giving the option to insure it for $2000-$2900.
Would you accept that? How much would you insure it for?
I have no problems with it and am not at 90000 k's yet
I'm not talking about stickers or decals
I had to replace my windsheild after it mysteriously broke and since I didn't go to the ford dealer it no longer has the for symbol in the corner. What I would like to know is if there's a way to scrape or remove the off brand decal that is on the new one? Would sand paper or a razor work?
I'm currently trying to buy a Van for my construction business needs. There are three brands which come to my mind, GMC, Ford, and Chevrolet. Which do you think it's better, GMC, Ford, or Chevrolet, in Vans category?
If I were to get a remote start from car tunes will that void my ford warranty?
I have a 2000 Ford Excursion XLT 5.4L V8, today I drove it home from work and it started fine and ran good till I got home, I went to go leave again and my truck started and ran for a second it seemed like, I tried revving it but it died as soon as the rpms started coming down. It did that for a couple of times and now it won't turn over at all, I also noticed that when it did start none of the gauges moved like they normally would, and when it was on accessory I only got the battery light, the airbag light and the theft light go on. Also before when I turn this truck to accessory I get a loud electrical whirl that would last a few seconds but now it's not doing that, could this be the fuel pump has gone bad?
I got approved for my car financing this morning, I signed the paperwork yesterday, I have the bill of sale that I signed before the loan was approved to state that the car will belong to me as soon as I have been approved and the car does need it's safety and e-test before I can actually drive it off the lot as it's a used vehicle. How long does the dealership have? I've had people tell me that it should have already been done and I get keys as soon as I'm approved and others tell me it can take up to 48 hours after being approved. Anyone know? If it helps it's a Ford Dealership and I'm in Ontario.
