1972 Ford F100.
it has a 3 speed manual transmission, and a few times while i was driving it wouldn't come out of gear. A couple aggressive swings of my arm and it popped out. But it has done it again and i can't seem to get it back to neutral. Its in second gear, and i can still drive it. Clutch is engaging fine i believe. But i physically can't get the shifter out of 2nd gear.
Its not hydraulic. Clutch, and transmission are both 100% mechanical
I'm about to go get under it and see if i can't find the adjustment. I'm only 21 so my 42 year old truck confuses me sometimes.

MAY I USE WATER INSTEAD OF COOLANT IN A '93 FORD?
I have no other problems with the car, it has 1/2 tank petrol, and oil.
At first I thought it may be the cold but, it happens too often for that.
I recently purchased a 1970 Ford Maverick, it runs great especially after I rebuilt the carb, put a new battery in it and fixed a hole in the exhaust. With all that being said when I start it I have to back the key off very, very slowly or it will die. It starts perfectly when I turn the key and it cranks, but if I just let go of the key it will die, whereas if I very slowly (over aprox 10-15 seconds) back it off it will stay running and then run all day if I need it to. What is going on here?

My 2006 Ford Freestar has on 235 60 16 tires on it now. I looked online and I guess the standard size is 225 60 16. I found some 225 60 16 tires I would like to buy and put on it. But, I'm just wondering if that's okay since the current size on the van is 235 not 225. Also… What are the benefits to putting on a smaller size? Any negatives?
I live in Minnesota and winter is in full swing now. If that helps.
I have a Ford Freestyle that I got in July. My average mpg (that it displays for me) was usually running around 22mpg. About a month ago, it seemingly "dropped over night" to 19. It now rides right around 18. I've reset it several times, and even on the highway it says I'm only getting 22mpg, which is 4 lower than what I should be getting. There's no known problems with the car other then dirty transmission fluid. The tires are fine, and I just put in a new air filter. The only thing I figure is that its the transmission fluid or the cold weather. Could that cause it? Or what else could it be?
