New car/New driver. How can I do everything the best way?

I'm a new driver. I just got my license and I'm 20 years old. (late. I know.) but, I recently just got a job at my local mcdonalds as a shift manager, so it's more money than I've made at any other job I've had. I was wondering is it wiser to go ahead and get a new car or should I get a used car? Regardless, I'm getting a car from a actual dealership like Honda, Ford, etc. I don't like nor trust the "buy here, pay here places" and I'm a tall, bigger guy, id have to get an SUV. Which suv(s) are cheapest on insurance?

Find a guy who knows about cars and take him with you when you buy the car and let him inspect it for you

in my opinion you should get a used car - in the first two years the car depreciates in value you don't want to be losing that money

What you want is a little old car with low mileage that had one careful little old lady driver who always had the maintenance done on time

Its unlikely you can finance at your age and income.

Most lenders require income above $1700 a month and good credit. And 6+ months on the job.

So you have a ways to go.

Smoke some weed

Start with a used car… Get your driving skills up to the best and later on buy that new car… That's whatz wise…

Get insurance quotes from local agents. There's literally no way to do it here without a whole lot of personal information you might not want to post on the Net.

At your age and work level you will never get a new car loan without a double digit interest rate, if then, so get a junker to get you to and from work for now. You do not have a clue how long you will last with Mickie D's so don't get caught with a car loan and no job.

Insurance on anything is likely to cost a 20 year old male in the thousands rather than hundreds per year, call around.

LOL my car is not for sale. It is a 2011 with 7357 miles on it, driven only by me (a little old lady).
