My van slip only at 30km?
I have ford freestar 2005 and each time it reach 30km, I feel suddenly boom like transmission slip somewhere and this happen each time.
Thé fluid Is flushed and level ok,
There was recall for torque converter and it was changed also.
Someone say On youtube for this kind of can the reason for slipping is pump shafts.
But I'm not agree because the slip happen only at 30km not before or after.
Get a new one
When an automatic transmission slips it needs rebuilding.
It sounds to me like it's trying to go into two gears at the same time. If so rebuild is in order.
Either low on fluid or it needs a rebuild. Find transmission shop to diagnosis it
Yes
WHAT does it mean by rebuilding transmission?
why it does slip only at 30km? Not before not after

- Have 98 Ford Ranger, 4.0, 171,000 miles, auto trans with limited slip. I've owned truck since new and have changed trans fluid every 30-35 000 miles and have never towed anything. The majority of the 171,000 miles are interstate driving. The truck shifts fine with no jerking or slippage. What I do get is thump(s) in rear end when I come to a stop, as gears are downshifting. Do I need a new transmission? Any suggestions? I suppose it's a "clunk" I hear and feel when I come to a stop, not a thump.
- Is my 9 inch rear end limited slip? I have a ford 9 inch in my 72 4x4 truck. When I jack it up and spin the driver's side wheel, the drive shaft turns but the passenger side wheel does not. If I turn the passenger side wheel, the drive shaft turns but the driver's side wheel does not. If I turn the drive shaft by hand, only the passenger side wheel turns. Since both wheels turn the drive shaft, does this mean I have posi? If so, why don't the wheels turn each other when I turn one?
