My overall impression of the Kavanaugh hearing was politicians on both sides making candidate speeches for re-election and attempting to?
Sound sympathetic and outraged for various reasons. It was phony, sounded like lectures, and fake concern for either Kavanaugh or Ford. Just speeches. What say you?

I have gained immense respect for Lindsey Graham. He is a man of extraordinary character. His defense of Kavanaugh is echoed by the rest of America.
Both sides are pandering to their base.
Ford was believable, Kavanaugh was not. The rest was typical politics.
I agree entirely. If they want justice FILE A POLICE REPORT. While there's local politics, it is not nearly as much.
But we all know that politicians want a reason to ACT, and have no concern for justice. Democrats certainly do not want the presumption of innocence used for Kavanaugh.
Dr. Ford came across as believable and reluctant to be thrust into the circus. Judge Kavanaugh did not. I want to hear what the other witnesses have to say.
Kavanaugh supporters believe her because of her emotional testimony. However if you look at the facts an entirely different perspective emerges.
- She couldn't remember the date, or even the year, it occurred.
- She couldn't remember the house, or address where it occurred.
- She couldn't remember why she followed Kavanaugh up to the bedroom.
- She couldn't remember how she got home after the party.
- None of the four witnesses she named at that party could confirm her story.
- Her life-long friend, who was at the party, couldn't confirm Ford's account of events.
- She told no one about the event for decades.
- She has a record of being opposed to Trump's politics.
I imagine that something happened to Ford, but her politics over the decades seems to have clouded her memory of events.
- Was it peculiar when Kavanagh complained about the hearing yesterday and he brought up the 2016 election and then the Clintons? I saw the logic, but I do not think these things deal much with Ford when she was 14. Or what Brett and Mark Judge and some guy named PJ did or did not do during that summer.
- There's neighbor's Ford car I'm attempting to help push out a driveway? ~but the BATTERY IS DEAD and will not shift out of park with the key in and brake depressed. There's also a 'Interlock IID anti-DUI breath reader' installed, but feel this is NOT keeping the vehicle from being able to shift out of park, am I right? Is this just and electrical issue? Perhaps a fuse?
