My ex sent me a birthday present. Why?

I said some horrible things and he cheated on me and then broke up with me. This was about three months ago and we'd been going out for two years.
Basically in the card he wrote "I hope you have a great birthday" then "Love (his name)". And he got me a box of my favourite chocolates, a iron man t-shirt (because we both love iron man and he has one just like it and I absolutely loved it), a Tom Ford perfume and a pair of (expensive) rose gold studs.

On another he wrote "Please read this tomorrow (the day after my birthday)" and inside it was a sorry card in which he basically apologized for hurting me and how it was all he could think about for the last few months, he "doesn't know how to make it up" to me, he misses me but he gets that I probably hate him.

I just don't understand why he would do all of that. If he wanted to get back with me, wouldn't he say that in his apology note? I mean the present was so thoughtful and I love it, but it's been three months and I didn't hear anything from him since we broke up. I've pretty much been a state since and I know I'd get back with him if he just asked.

He's the best thing that's ever happened to me and it was those stupid things I said that made him cheat. It's just he hasn't asked and I don't get why he would spend that much on me like that. I feel like **** accepting a present and an apology like that, as if it was all his fault, when I'm half to blame for ruining our relationship. I don't know what to think or do?

That's really cute maybe you should ask him? Remember always be honest and make sure if you really think you can trust him again and enough then maybe you should have another shot!

You get the idea, he wants to be back with you, and is establishing wherher you will have him back. Giving him a hint will no doubt produce an apology, and maybe an admittance that he got it wrong! Guys are not good at admitting they were wrong.

  • What's the difference in car brakes from 03' to present day? I recently purchased a 2003 Ford Ranger to go to and from work. I also have a 2017 Tacoma. I just had an alignment, new control arms, rotors, and brakes put on the Ranger and I get a loud squeak every time I come to a stop or use the brakes. When I press on the break pedal it's almost as if I can feel the pad rubbing and the vibration. Obviously I don't experience this with my 2017 Tacoma. So I'm just wondering is this normal or is there something wrong?
  • Good car to get my wife for her birthday My wife who's turning 25 really could use a car, her current car is a 2003 Ford Taurus, she really seems to like small medium suvs /crossovers. I don't want to spend over 40k though, but I don't want to get her a bare bone vehicle either. I was thinking getting her either a Ford Edge or a chevy equinox, any other suggestions
  • Which year F-350 is best and why? Which is the worst F-350 and why? I'm gonna buy a F-350 In a year or so and I wanna know which one is best. I'm gonna buy a fifth wheel and I need a powerful truck. I have decided on the Ford F 3-50 but I don't know which one is the most reliable. I'm thinking of getting a super duty truck.
