You should be able to buy a pretty good set for less than $1000. Call nearby tire stores. I have had good service from Michelin, Goodyear and Cooper tires. Lately, I have been riding on Coopers because they are made in the USA and, so far, no problems with 3 sets.
Lets see. About the only place that sells black tires is:

Black tires for a good price is Walmart. Ask for the lowest priced tires, or they'll quote prices on more expensive units.
Unless you have changed from stock rims (16") it should be no problem.
Well if you want "speed rated" "summer treads" or something at the top end of the performance range it might be difficult. But buying "cheap high performance tires" is just not the smartest thing to go looking for.
The most expensive tire "Tire Rack" has to offer costs about 172 dollars and even those would total else then 1000 dollars all the way around.

- What size tires would look good on stock 97 ranger with black pro comp wheels? I have a stock maroon 1997 Ford Ranger XLT, reg cab, short bed, 2wd. I'm getting 15x7, 5x4.5, Be:3.75 black pro comp wheels and am just going for a stock look, no big tires. What would you recommend? 205/70/15 or 215/70/15 or 75/15 or?

- Matte Black vs Gloss Black Vinyl stripes? So I have a Ingot Silver 2014 Ford Mustang and was wondering what stripes would look the best on it. I heard that gloss shows every little imperfection (scratches) while with matte black, you can't wax them. I'm leaning more on matte black just because I know that seeing the little scratches on the gloss black over time will really irritate me.
